Public booking
Terms & Conditions
Version: 26 August 2026
1. About Destilio
Destilio provides technology that allows participating salons, barber shops, beauty businesses and other service providers (each a “Salon”) to offer and manage online appointments. The Salon providing the booked service is an independent business and is responsible for the actual service, its staff, prices, availability, customer experience and Salon-specific policies.
2. Booking information and verification
To make a booking, you may be required to provide your name, phone number, email address, selected services, preferred professional, date and time. You agree that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to use it.
Destilio may require email verification before a booking is created. A temporary verification code may be sent to the email address you provide. By entering the code, you confirm that you have access to that email address, that the phone number displayed in the verification message is correct, and that you are making a genuine booking.
3. Genuine bookings and prohibited conduct
You must not intentionally:
- Create fake, fraudulent or misleading appointments.
- Book appointments with no genuine intention of attending.
- Use another person’s contact information without permission.
- Reserve time slots to prevent other clients from booking.
- Attempt to bypass verification, security or booking restrictions.
- Abuse, overload, manipulate or disrupt the Destilio booking system.
Destilio and/or the Salon may cancel bookings that reasonably appear fraudulent, abusive, duplicated or intentionally misleading. Repeated or serious abuse may result in temporary or permanent booking restrictions. Where permitted by law, a person who intentionally causes loss or damage through fraudulent or abusive use may be responsible for that loss.
4. Appointment confirmation
A booking is confirmed only after the booking process has been successfully completed and a confirmation is displayed or sent. Receiving a verification code alone does not confirm an appointment. Availability can change while a booking is being completed.
5. Salon cancellation, rescheduling and no-show rules
Individual Salons may set their own cancellation, rescheduling, late-arrival, no-show, deposit and refund rules. Where applicable, those rules should be displayed or communicated before the booking is confirmed.
If you cannot attend, you should cancel or reschedule as early as reasonably possible. Repeated intentional no-shows or abusive booking behavior may result in booking restrictions.
6. Late arrivals
If you arrive late, the Salon may shorten the service, move the appointment, offer another available professional, or cancel the appointment if there is no longer enough time to provide the service safely and properly. Any Salon-specific late-arrival fee or rule must comply with applicable law and the Salon’s disclosed policy.
7. Prices, additional services and service suitability
Prices shown on a booking page are supplied by the Salon. The final price may change if you request or agree to additional services or if the service itself is changed with your agreement. A Salon may decline or stop a service where it reasonably believes the service is unsafe, unsuitable or cannot be properly provided.
8. Professional substitution
If the professional you selected becomes unavailable, the Salon may offer another qualified professional or an alternative appointment time. Where reasonably possible, you should be informed and given a choice before the appointment is reassigned.
9. Priority Booking
Some Salons may offer Priority Booking. A Priority Booking request is not confirmed until it has been approved by the Salon or selected professional and the required advance payment has been successfully completed.
The Salon chooses whether its Priority Booking advance payment is 50%or 70% of the appointment total. The exact percentage and amount must be shown before payment. Any remaining balance is paid according to the Salon’s payment policy.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, the Priority Booking advance payment is non-refundable when the client cancels the confirmed Priority Booking or fails to attend. A Salon may voluntarily offer a refund or transfer the advance payment to a rescheduled appointment under its own disclosed policy.
If the Salon cancels a confirmed Priority Booking and cannot provide a suitable alternative accepted by the client, the Priority Booking advance payment should be refunded to the client.
After a Priority Booking request is approved, the client may be given a limited payment window. If payment is not completed within that window, the request may expire automatically and the time is not guaranteed.
10. Existing appointments affected by Priority Booking
Priority Booking does not give a Salon unlimited authority to disregard confirmed appointments. If accepting a Priority Booking may affect an existing appointment, the Salon should minimize disruption and first offer the affected client reasonable alternatives.
Where operationally possible, an affected client should be notified as early as reasonably possible and at least 40 minutes before the originally scheduled appointment start time.
Where available, the affected client should be offered a choice between:
- Keeping approximately the same time with another available professional.
- Keeping the originally selected professional at the nearest available time.
- Rescheduling to another suitable date or time.
An appointment changed because of a Salon’s accepted Priority Booking must not be treated as a client no-show or client cancellation. If the client does not accept the alternatives, the Salon should allow rescheduling without a client cancellation penalty where the change was caused by the Salon.
11. Payment disputes and chargebacks
A client should contact the Salon first if there is a genuine payment or refund dispute. Deliberately filing an unjustified chargeback or payment dispute for a valid, clearly disclosed Priority Booking advance payment may result in booking restrictions, subject to applicable payment rules and law.
12. Incorrect information
You are responsible for checking the contact information you enter. Destilio and the Salon may not be able to deliver confirmations, reminders or booking changes if the email address or phone number you provide is incorrect.
13. Transactional communications and marketing
By requesting or confirming a booking, you agree to receive communications that are necessary for that booking, such as verification codes, confirmations, reminders, changes and cancellation notices. These transactional messages are separate from marketing. Marketing email or SMS consent, where used, should be requested separately.
14. Technical errors
Destilio aims to provide a reliable booking service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. A booking may need to be corrected, reconfirmed or rescheduled because of a technical error, connectivity problem, duplicate availability, or another issue outside reasonable control. A confirmed booking should not be treated as cancelled until the Salon or Destilio communicates a change.
15. Events outside reasonable control
Appointments may be changed or cancelled because of circumstances such as illness, power or internet outages, emergencies, severe weather, fire, government restrictions or other events outside the reasonable control of the Salon or Destilio.
16. Minors
Some services may require a parent’s or guardian’s consent for minors. The Salon is responsible for applying any age, consent, professional or legal requirements that apply to the services it provides.
17. Booking restrictions
Destilio and/or a Salon may restrict access to online booking where reasonably necessary to address fraud, harassment, threats, spam, repeated intentional no-shows, payment abuse, attempts to manipulate the system or other serious misuse.
18. Personal data
Personal data used for booking and verification is handled in accordance with the Destilio Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law. Information required to provide your appointment may be made available to the Salon with which you are booking.
19. Salon responsibility and Destilio limitation of responsibility
Each Salon using Destilio operates as an independent business. The Salon, not Destilio, is responsible for its services, service quality and safety, staff and contractors, prices, schedules, cancellations, Salon-specific refunds, Priority Booking decisions, professional licensing and other obligations that apply to the Salon’s business.
Destilio does not provide salon, barbering, beauty or other professional services and does not employ or supervise the professionals providing those services. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Destilio is not responsible for the independent actions, services or decisions of participating Salons.
This does not affect any rights, protections or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
20. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to Destilio, legal requirements, security measures or booking functionality. For a specific booking, the version recorded at the time the booking is confirmed is the relevant version, subject to applicable law.
21. Applicable law and consumer rights
These Terms are subject to applicable law and any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. Nothing in these Terms removes a right or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.
